PLEASE NOTE: As our payment processors (PayPal, Stripe) no longer refund their processing fees on cancelled orders, there is a 5% non-refundable processing fee if you cancel your order I’m afraid. If SST cancel it for any reason you will of course receive a full refund, it’s only if you cancel your order as I’ll be losing too much money on an item this price. Published by Lividian PublicationsPLEASE NOTE: As this title is published by another publisher I unfortunately can’t accept any discount codes I’m afraid.Lividian Publications is pleased to offer their Deluxe Signed & Traycased Lettered Edition of
The Chill by Scott Carson. This absolutely
massive deluxe special edition is being lavishly crafted with collectors and readers alike in mind. Exclusive to their edition is a foreword by James Coltrane (a.k.a Stewart O’Nan), plus twelve full-color illustrations and a full-color frontispiece.
Please Note: This Lettered Edition has been produced by the same boutique printer and hand-binder who make their Stephen King and Joe Hill Lettered Editions. This means the books are printed offset using a four-color specialty press and an upgraded acid-free paper with a textured finish. Those book blocks then go to their hand-binder, who completes each copy one at a time, and then constructs matching clamshell cases to house and protect them. These are very different from a “regular” Lettered Edition you might receive from most small presses. A tremendous amount of manual labor went into producing this edition in the hopes of making it even more beautiful and special. Also, due to using an entirely separate printer and binder for this edition, it will be shipping
before the Limited Edition, making it the true first of the special editions.

About the Book:Far upstate, in New York’s ancient forests, a drowned village lies beneath the dark, still waters of the Chilewaukee reservoir. Early in the 20th century, the town was destroyed for the greater good: bringing water to the millions living downstate. Or at least that’s what the politicians from Manhattan insisted at the time. The local families, settled there since America’s founding, were forced from their land, but they didn’t move far, and some didn’t move at all… Now, a century later, the repercussions of human arrogance are finally making themselves known. An inspector assigned to oversee the dam, dangerously neglected for decades, witnesses something inexplicable. It turns out that more than the village was left behind in the waters of the Chill when it was abandoned. The townspeople didn’t evacuate without a fight. A dark prophecy remained, too, and the time has come for it to be fulfilled. Those who remember must ask themselves: who will be next? For sacrifices must be made. And as the dark waters begin to inexorably rise, the demand for a fresh sacrifice emerges from the deep…
